The British Indian Fantail Club was established in 1988, to promote this most regal of pigeons in the United Kingdom. Before that our Indians were broadly popular and exhibited around the UK, under the banner of The Variety Pigeon Club. But with the ever increasing popularity of the breed, it was felt by the most active and influential breeders of the day, that the Indian justified its own breed club identity, all the better to promote it. Thus was born the BIFC – British Indian Fantail Club. We’ve never looked back.
Membership of our ever popular Club has always been high, it is one of the most popular breeds there are, hardly surprising.
We issue Newsletters to members and promote shows around the country, including our Club Show at Pickering every December, where rosettes and trophies are offered to winning exhibitors.
